Maharashtra’s food safety chief has intensified a crackdown on grocery delivery companies. Twelve warehouses belonging to Eternal, Swiggy, and Zepto had their permits suspended. Inspectors found cockroach infestations and rotten vegetables in several storage facilities. Rodent droppings and unhygienic conditions were also discovered during recent inspections. This action follows previous closures of popular eateries for poor hygiene standards.
