Uttar Pradesh’s Food Safety and Drug Administration will require sweets to display a ‘Use by Date’. This measure focuses on open or loose sweets, which previously lacked such a requirement. Inspections found that consumers often did not receive proper information about the date of manufacture or expiry. Additionally, a ban on using ethylene glycol in milk processing has been enforced due to health risks.
